As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sohn manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Sohn practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. \r \r Dr. Sohn obtained his surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. After obtaining his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, he completed his general surgery internship from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Oral & Maxillofacial surgery residency from St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital System in Manhattan. He returned to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for one- year clinical fellowship with Dr. Mark Ochs in maxillofacial surgery specializing in areas of orthognathic(corrective jaw), trauma and implant surgeries. Upon completion of his maxillofacial surgery training, Dr. Sohn completed his training with a one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Abilene, TX with Dr. Howard Tobin.\r At the conclusion of his training, Dr. Sohn returned to DFW where he practices full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.\r
