I had a disappointing experience with this vendor. Admittedly, I chose them on price but mechanical issues with the boat soured the experience and I wished I'd paid more elsewhere for a less stressful experience. Firstly, the pontoon boat I booked 2 days prior was not available on the day of the rental. I was told someone else had taken it 15 mins earlier and I was given the one I wanted to avoid. Next I was given the boat with only one line and one fender which was totally inadequate for properly securing it alongside. During the first 5 minutes underway, with the boat lightly loaded, the outboard transmission started to slip at anything above half throttle. This issue got more serious over time and I barely limped back to Jerry's at the end of the day. I appreciate these boats get hammered by day renters and I could excuse the battered appearance but the lack of adequate basic equipment and a defective engine on a single engine boat were serious issues for me.
