Review content:
My boyfriend and I had been looking for a decent Thai restaurant for a while in the Bellaire area. Before, we used to go to Thai Spice, but then we found this place. Tony Thai has such a contemporary atmosphere. We walked in to the place thinking the food would be really expensive based on the decor, but it wasn't! Everything was reasonably priced and tasted better than we expected. The pad thai is delish, the green and red curry is exceptional, and I love their Thai tea. It complements any meal, especially their spicier ones like red curry. The only negative thing I have to say is that some things are almost too spicy for my tastes. If you want a fun place to celebrate a birthday come here. They play this funky, funny song for you recorded by the owner himself and plop crazy mad hatterish hats on your head. It's a hoot. My boyfriend and I go here every time we're in the Bellaire area now. If it's too far for you, I heard they also have a second location up north by Willowbrook mall that serves sushi AND Thai food there. You can' really go wrong with Tony Thai.
Pros: upscale atmosphere, authentic Thai experience
Cons: inconsistent service, busy during peak hours
