I used to be very skeptical about going to physical therapy. Things weren't explained to me in a way I could understand. The exercise sheets that I was to follow at home didn't match up with what I had been shown during my appointment. This made me start with an attitude that it probably wasn't going to help. Bottom line...it seemed sort of useless and I never felt satisfied.
Finding Mike Dixie and his staff at Ortho Rehab made all that change. I went for neck pain and then again to regain my arm use after rotator cuff surgery. Each time, Mike told me in layman's terms what was causing the pain and had a very organized plan of treatment. Got a question? Hel'll answer it. Need a follow-up or paperwork? He'll do it.
Starting at square one with confidence really motivated me to have the right frame of mind to start helping myself.
