Review content:
I'm not entirely in disagreement with the other reviews ""Unprofessional, Rude and Awful"" and ""Avoid This One - Terrible Experiences Await"" -- however in my experience Dr. Mooradian is in fact a skilled dentist, she just lacks respect for her office workers and patients.
She also employs some questionable accounting practices. For example, she will calculate what she believes will be reimbursed by your insurance, charge you the rest, and then fail to inform you that your account has a credit balance because the insurance paid her more than her (conservative?) calculation. I haven't tried asking for a refund check for the credit balance...I imagine she would (with a snarky comment under her breath) because it would be illegal for her not to.
Oddly, I'm still a patient. Perhaps because I'm too lazy to find another (she's conveniently located), and perhaps because I'm actually amused by her office soap-opera antics. The turn over rate for her poor abused hygienists and office staff is really quite amazing. Another reviewer is not exaggerating about Dr. Mooradian swearing at her staff in front of patients, and occasionally at patients behind their back. It's so ridiculous it's comical.
My advice to you is either accept her quirks or find another dentist altogether. And don't let her push you around, especially to get fillings ""replaced"" that are perfectly fine as they are.
One final experience, Dr. Mooradian recommended I have an older (amalgam) filling replaced, and I decided to since she'd be working on another tooth anyway. After the Novocain wore off I could tell that the filling needed grinding down, because my bite wasn't right anymore. I returned the next day and with some persistence Dr. Mooradian got my bite fixed -- and wasn't even that snarky about it!!!
So, your mileage may vary, and expect some interesting bumps in the road along the way...
