Okay, hands down, the Katsudonburi is over the top. It's a favorite of my wife and I. The only place we've found in OC that serves it is Ebisu. So, for that, we endure the long waits for a table and even longer waits to order and be served.\r

It's a ying-yang thing, I guess. In spite of the great food, the terrible service always leaves as with a bad feeling. So, we only go about once a year. On our most recent visit, the server was so scattered brained running around the restaurant that she forgot half our order, but still put it on our bill. Kinda bizarre as the place only has about 15 tables. It's not like some resort restaurant in Downtown Disney, so I don't get it.\r
\r
The manager came over to apologize for the missed delivery, to which I suggested that service always seems to suffer at Ebisu. All he was could say was ""sorry"". I think they need a professional efficiency expert to help them get organized... :)\r

One other footnote, the strip mall in which the restaurant is located, while it is going through some urban renewal, it always has that Ghost Town feeling. Trash strewn everywhere, parking lot full of potholes and sidewalks covered with chewing gum. There's some serious deferred maintenance here.
Pros: Awesome food. Killer Katsudonburi.
Cons: Terrible service and lackluster ambiance and locale. Definitely NOT a romantic date spot, though it could be some day.
