Since I don't eat meat, my husband and I don't go to seafood places very often, but I had a friend coming in from San Fran and I had heard so much about this place, I thought, great chance to give it a try. We arrived 3 minutes after our reservation time, and they did not have a table for us. We then had to wait 10 more minutes before we were seated. (watching them sit three other couples before us.) Finally we sit down. We felt young. Mind you, we are all professionals in our mid-30s. Didn't matter. The restaurant is in an old church like place, so there is some gorgeous stain glass windows. Very cool setting (even if the live music coming out of the bar was a bit too loud). Our waitress was nice enough, but after giving us a wine list, she disappeared for 15 minutes. We were thirsty, and as every good restaurant manager knows, the money is in the booze. She finally comes back. We order our drinks. We wait (again). The people next to us, who came in after us, were already eating their appetizers. To make a long story short: the service was terrible. The food was "okay" --very bad for the price, actually. After our meal, my friend and husband said to me, “We should have stayed home. What a waste of money, and we’re better cooks!” Making matters worse, when the manager came over to see how our meal was, and we told him about the wait, he then went off and YELLED at the waitress while we were still there. The poor girl. It was so uncomfortable. A different person brought us the bill and everything. The manager was truly awful. My brother loves the place. I say spend your money elsewhere.
