OK people, we need to talk! I feel compelled to comment on a few of these recent negative comments about Joey's. \r

Firstly, Anthony, I doubt you are a real New Yorker, because Lombardi's ain't nothing to write home about, and yes, your are right, there is a ""famous Ray's"" on every corner. But a real New Yorker knows that Ray's became commercialized after all the hype, and there is only one true Ray's in the Village that makes great pizza. Oh, and by the way, I would never eat my pizza from a Coal Burning Oven, but you give me a Wood Fired Oven - now that's a good pizza. \r

Second, to the SoccorMom, Joey's is one of the cleanest restaurants in all of Nashville, and they have the inspection score to prove it. I really believe in the Nashville food rating system, and if there was an issue with improperly stored foods, I'm sure it would have been raised. Besides, every pizzeria I've ever visited ""freshened up"" their pizza slices. What do you do at home with leftover pizza? Give me a break.\r

Lastly, to Sugar... I'm sorry - I didn't get through your whole blog. I got distracted with your use of the numbers 2 and 4 instead of ""to"" and ""for"", so I just stopped reading. I'm sure you have a point somewhere in your write-up, but just for future reference, 4 pizzas 4 the office is NOT a big order.\r

Look folks, Joey and Chris are good people. They would give the shirt off of their backs for someone in need. The ""rudeness"" that so many people speak of is not meant to insult anyone. YOU try serving 300+ pizzas (est.) per day. The occasional (and rare) order detail may get missed, and non-standard requests may be greeted with a less than favorable demeanor. Just get over it, enjoy the show (and eat the best pizza in Nashville)! \r
