THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! \r \r I'm a sucker for luxury spa treatments at a discount so when Spa Sydell posted a $45 Groupon for 60 minute massage, I pounced. I originally scheduled an appointment for 7/1 but had to cancel due to a schedule conflict. I made sure to call 24 hours in advance per their cancellation policy. I rescheduled the appointment for 9/29 at the Midtown location. I presented the Groupon at check-in and was told that the certificate had been redeemed. I explained that a previous appointment was made but it was cancelled and the certificate was not used. After speaking with a manager, the young lady at the front desk advised that she would take care of the issue and instructed me to go up for my service. Upon checkout, I was told that the value of the Groupon was applied towards a cancellation fee and that I owed $90 for the service! I explained, again, that I cancelled the service 24 hours in advance and I was not informed of a cancellation fee. I was told to contact the customer service director at their corporate headquaters, which I did the first thing the Monday after the 9/29 service. Since then, none of the daily messages I've left have been answered. I called the Forum location (who referred me to corporate) to inquire whether the director was in town and was told that she may be too busy to return calls because she was preparing for the Breast Cancer Walk-A-Thon and a peer's wedding - two unacceptable reasons for ignoring a customer issue in my opinion. \r Despite the WONDERFUL massage I received (request DeAngelo if you book a massage at the Midtown location), I will never, never, never, ever step foot inside a Spa Sydell ever again. \r My plan is to escalate my case up their corporate ladder until I achieve resolution. Wish me luck!\r \r If anyone from Spa Sydell corporate is reading this post, I welcome your response.
