Review content:
My review is long overdue. In one word, Excellent. If you are having skin issues, run do not walk to Ambrosia. After wasting literally thousands of dollars on laser treatments at so-called ""top"" Seattle dermatology offices, I finally discovered the treasure that is Ambrosia Med Spa. Bridgett, the spa director, is confident, knowledgeable and does not give up easily. I suffered from the onset of rosacea. The tiny clusters of red veins were complicated by layers of dark pigment due to sun damage, along with melasma. This is a nightmare situation for someone, like me, who had worked in television with hopes of returning. Like I said, I had ""top"" Seattle doctors, one of whom was featured on Oprah, tell me, ""well, the lasers just don't work on some people."" Another doctor and tech allowed me to keep coming in and shelling out 5 hundred bucks a laser treatment, promising, ""this will work and we will get you to a maintenance phase"". After ELEVEN laser treatments and very little results in the major problem areas, I met with the doctor who finally agreed to a few complimentary visits. Still, no results. Finally, I stumbled upon Ambrosia which is just down the road from me here in Kirkland. Bridgett was very calm and welcoming as I came into the office armed with dozens of laser settings from several offices and a skeptical, frustrated tone. Long story short, less than 9 months later, my skin looks better than it ever has.... Important to note, I insisted on aggressive treatments. I had several very intense TCA peels which helped pull up the dark pigment, the brown patches. Chemical peels did aggravate the rosacea but that's where the lasers come into action. Also important to note, my skin can tolerate higher settings. Bridgett was willing test the laser in spots to make sure the settings would be affective. Therefore, not throwing money out the window on continued laser treatments that are not working. Currently, I a member at Ambrosia which is the best deal in town, take it from someone who knows. For about $250 a month, I am able to get a laser treatment and my choice of a facial or microdermabrasion, not to mention discounts on other services and products. One full face laser treatment anywhere else is typically 5 hundred dollars and in my experience those techs are not terribly connected to your results. They are just moving people through the office. Ambrosia is warm, non-intimidating and results oriented. You will never feel self-conscious or embarrassed by your cosemetic concerns. Certainly, a monthly fee is a financial committment. But I can assure you, this is the most cost effective skin care plan that will provide results.
