Before I start with the salon review, I'll paint a picture of the status of my hair. Every bad thing you can imagine of, I've done it on my hair within a couple of week. I have a typical asian hair -- straight and smooth. Here's a break down of what I have done: \r 1-- Been dying my hair red EVERY MONTH for the past 3 years\r 2-- Used bleach kits a couple of times during those 3 years\r 3-- Permed the hair A MONTH ago (tired of perm within a day) \r 4-- Started using CHI straightner to flat iron the hair -- Too hot temp with no settings burnt the hair (looks like cat's fur ball)\r 5-- Use a lot of products: Redken, bed head, Matrix, Sebastian, etc to HELP smooth out the burnt hair\r 6-- Products don't help, went psycho and razored off my own hair @ 1:30am (can't wait for salon to open)\r \r At 4pm, I walked into the salon without an appt. The owner, Cindy, had me seated in a salon chair. She started her FREE consultation by asking me questions in regard to the history of my hair (bleached? when/how often colored, etc) and then followed by -- ""what would you like to achieve?"" She's a great listener -- she then gave me her suggestions. She said althou she can do what I want with my hair, she would suggest that I give about a month to let my hair rejuvenate -- as in ""we're in damage control."" She applied deep conditioner in my hair and let me sit for 20 min, afterward, she trimmed all around to even out my ""psycho cut."" The shears that she used is the best quality I've seen, and the way she cut is superb (the way she cut hair is not learned from basic school, but probably add'l schooling -- I can totally see the quality resulted from that technique on my hiar). \r \r The service was superb. The staff treated customers with upmost respect, professionalism and ""family-like"". The atmosphere is very welcoming and not pushy. You know how to tell if you're in the best salon? You look around and everyone in there have healthy shiny hair (most of them have long hair). Pros: Easy parking, Superb service, late closing time, extremely skilled staffs, all-in-one service avail (nail, facial, dermabrasion, waxing), 3 referrals = $80 off your hair service Cons: Price (but result is totally worth it)
