Businiess name:  Larsen's Original Bakery
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I'm a baker and a huge Larsen's fan- one of my friends even had me bring a suitcase full of pastries to her wedding in Boise for her Danish relatives. I was pleasantly surprised to find red velvet cake in their display case recently, and even more surprised that it was GOOD! Perfect cake(not too sweet), and delicious cream cheese frosting. Who knew a Scandinavian bakery could get this Southern delicacy right? With Cupcake Royale only doing red velvet part of the year, this is a great way to get your fix, and for the money Larsen's has the best cakes in town. Staff are always friendly(even when the line is long), and if you're a baker it's a great place to find marzipan to use yourself, as well as premade dough.\r \r Favorites: Chocolate croissant, almond bar, lemon cake with marzipan frosting, red velvet cake\r Least favorite: Chocolate mousse cups Pros: Friendly service, easy parking on street, value Cons: Occasionally sell out of items on weekends(come early!)
