My dentist recommended I go to Difranco for a ""deep cleaning"" and possible periodontal disease. I had 3 visits with Difranco, two for the deep cleaning and full mouth xrays, and one final visit to check on the gums after the cleaning. On the last visit, the periodontist told me that I had to have 4 teeth removed and replaced with implants. She showed xrays of the ""bone loss"" and said that if I did not have this done ""right away"" that it could infect the other teeth, thus having them all removed. She then called my dentist, from the office, and told him that this must be done ASAP. Being 40 years old, this seemed like it was happening a bit too fast so I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I went to another periodontist who took xrays, examined my teeth and said in NO WAY am I even close to having Implants put in. The 2nd Periodontist showed me on the xrays that I had plenty of Bone to support the teeth and on top of that, my teeth were not even lose. I am so glad that I got a 2nd opinion as Difranco was ready to pull 4 healthy teeth.
