Review content:
I used to go here while studying at the library, but things have really changed. I took a friend there last month & it smelled awful inside. When you walk in a mexican restaurant, there should be the aroma of delicious food cooking in the kitchen...not like they just mopped the floor with a dirty mop! Apparently, the chips & salsa were sitting on the table for long time before we got there cos the salsa was room temp. All the tables already have the chips & salsa on them, that's not very sanitary! We ordered our drinks & they tasted like virgin strawberry daquiris, not strawberry margaritas made w/tequila. For almost $7, I'd like my drink to at least taste like they put SOME alcohol in it! We ended up leaving after one sip cos we were getting sick from the dirty mop aroma. And what's up with the booths? The seats are so narrow, even my friend's size 2 butt kept slipping forward. And the tables are so low. Maybe they are trying to appeal to a younger crowd with the virgin drinks & kiddie tables. With so many other mexican restaurants in the area, La Chicanita, you guys need to step your game up & get it together!
Pros: I love downtown Arlington Heights
Cons: Everything...can't get past the dirty aroma!!!
