Review content:
A friendly little Italian family restaurant in San Mateo downtown. Came here on a Thursday night and it was not very busy.
The server was very attentive and carefully answered all the questions we had about the menu. At the end I decided to go with the Ravioli Al Granchio. The food took a bit longer than usual and our server promptly brought us some complimentary Frittura Posillipo for appetizer. Extra bonus star for excellent service.
My Ravioli Al Granchio was average. It was tasty but not as flavorful as I had in other restaurants. I tried a bit of the Vitello Milanese and found it quite delicious. The sauce was on the strong side. The Linguine Bella Napoli on the other hand was disappointing. The linguine was even a bit undercooked.
3 stars for the food. 4 stars for the service. Rounding this up this time because of the friendly service.
Pros: Great Service
Cons: Mediore Food
