The Big Fish Pub located in tempe is located in a somewhat odd place, among other "buisnesses" but in a low traffic area.
I have been here to see numerous local bands, who the Pub showcase. There is an admission charge to enter the Pub when local bands are playing but the cover charge allows you to stay and watch all the bands who play that night. The prices during the week are much cheaper than a Friday or Saturday night. The drink prices are okay, not cheap but not expensive. I have been to other places that offer cheaper drinks.
There are two sections to this pub, the larger section has a larger bar, a few sitting areas, the corner stage and a good sized pit area. The type of music that this Pub tends to showcase are of a punk, metal or rock genre. The smaller section of the pub has a smaller bar, and a few tables, as well as a living room layout with a large tv screen and game cosoles.
The bathrooms definitly need to be refurbished as they are somewhat dirty. The chairs that are used to sit on have rips and tears, and the place in general just looks a little dirty. A little sprucing up would do this place some good.
This is a great place to check out some up and coming local talent.
