Review content:
Extremely poor customer service! I have purchased from Anchor Appliance before and decided to do so again, due to a dryer that died on me (it was an Amana which I bought at Anchor only four years ago). Even though that dryer should not have died in such a manner, I decided to go to Anchor again. What a big mistake! After waiting for him to finish business with a woman who was in front of me, the man behind the counter turned to another customer who had come up to the counter long after I had been standing there waiting my turn. He even started to help some other women who came up the counter again long after I had been waiting there for his help.\r
As I turned to leave, the man behind the counter yelled out, ""I took him because I knew he wouldn't take very long to help."" How in God's name could he have known that? Was he a mind-reader? He then proceeded to yell, ""Have a nice day,"" with a highly sarcastic tone to his voice.\r
I said nothing, because I was extremly irate and did not want to cause a scene, but this man was a complete idiot and a highly unprofessional dolt. I went to Anchor to actually purchase some appliances, not just a motor belt or have a conversation with him. Guess he wasn't a mind-reader, for if he had been, he would have known that he lost a great deal of money that day (yesterday, Sunday, March 3, 2013).\r
I will NEVER again set foot in that store and will tell all the people I know to stay away from this establishment. It is unprofessional, has uncouth and ill-mannered people working there, and their products do not live up to their advertised standards.\r
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! After leaving their store, I went to K-Mart and bought several Kenmore appliances for a lot less than I would have spent at Anchor. And Kenmore will last a heck-of-a-lot longer!
