I highly recommend Bertone Volvo-Saab. I searched for quite some time to find a good mechanic and went through several of the better-known service shops in the LA area. This guy (and his crew) are really into Volvos and know what they are doing. It may not be the fanciest shop in town, but the work is excellent. \r

Christian Johansson, owner of Bertone, is by far the best Volvo and Saab specialist in SoCal.\r

10 reasons to use Bertone:\r

1) they are trouble shooting experts and won't immediately say you have to buy $$$$ parts\r
2) sometimes you can get a loaner when a car is available otherwise you get a discount at Enterprise across the street\r
3) they repair things right the first time\r
4) they will not rip you off; very fair pricing for parts and service\r
5) they are Volvo enthusiasts and are not jaded or bored mechanics\r
6) will stay late to fix your car and/or arrange convenient scheduling\r
7) they are friendly and easy going\r
8) as a regular customer they will go out of their way to keep your car in top shape\r
9) incredibly knowledgable about Volvos; they are experts\r
10) the owner is Swedish and wears clogs!
