Review content:
Master Fang Wang worked for Young Champions and is now the head coach of Oriental Martial Arts Center (OMAC). OMAC instructs Martial Arts ranging from the peaceful art of Qigong and Tai Chi to the powerful sport of Wushu/Kungfu. Our coach, Master Fang Wang, is a professional athlete coached by Grand Master Wu Bin who also coached famous movie star Jet Li. Our classes are suitable for all ages. Currently our youngest student is four years old and our oldest student is seventy-seven.
Wushu/Kungfu:
Wushu epitomizes the “art” in martial arts and uses natural, synchronized and aesthetic movements. It provides many benefits including: building confidence, self control and discipline, improving flexibility and body coordination, enhancing physical fitness and mental health, shaping up focus and perseverance, nurturing team work and supportive spirit, and developing leadership and character.
Taichi:
The ancient Chinese art of Taichi consists of series of gentle and rhythmic movements that incorporate breath coordination, muscle relaxation, mind tranquility and spinal posture alignment. Taichi has numerous benefits. It can help relieve chronic pain, tone muscles, reduce stress, enhance balance and coordination, and improve blood circulation. Taichi is recognized as a method of exercise for stress reduction and cardiovascular benefits (lowered heart rate and blood pressure).
Qigong:
Literally, Qi (Chi) is "Intrinsic Life Energy", Gong (Kung or Gung) is "Cultivation" or "Art of Doing". Qigong practices involve rhythmic breathing in sync with slow stylized repetition of fluid movements, a calm mindful state, and visualization of channeling Qi through the body.
Come and enjoy the fun and the physical, mental and health benefits of Wushu, Taichi and/or Qigong at Oriental Martial Arts Center. Tel: 616-723-0616.
