SO I VISITED MISS MAMIE'S SPOONBREAD A FEW MONTHS AGO AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE! I WANTED TO TRY HER SISTER STORE, MISS MAUDE'S ON LENOX AVE AND WAS FLABBERGASTED!! THE FOOD WAS JUST AS GREAT AS MISS MAMIE'S. I ORDERED THE SEAFOOD SAMPLER THIS TIME AND THE CATFISH WAS FINGER LICKING GOOD!! LIGHTLY BREADED AND SEASONED TO THE CORE! THE MAC & CHEESE AND COLLARD GREENS WAS HMMM HMMM GOOD.. I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE POTATO SALAD!! THE BEST I'VE EVER TASTED!!! I EVEN ORDERED A PIECE OF FRIED CHICKEN TO GO.. BOY OH BOY, THE CHICKEN WAS SOOO FLAVORFUL.. MY MOUTH WAS WATERING..LOL... I LOVE THE DESSERTS, PEACH COBBLER AND RED VELVET CAKE, WHICH I ATE ON THE WAY HOME...THE SERVICE WAS OUT OF SITE, THE EMPLOYEES WERE SOOOO NICE AND FRIENDLY.. OVERALL, I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT BOTH SPOONBREAD RESTAURANTS AND I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A LOYAL CUSTOMER!! THIS IS THE BEST SOUL FOOD IN NYC, HANDS DOWN!!
