COMPLETE RIPOFF. I went into the Grapevine Mills location on Fri. Nov. 25th, 2011 and bought a 1 carat diamond that was suppose to be of a certain grade, color, and clarity. They wrote a bogus appraisal stating what the diamond was suppose to be. The next day I took the ring to have it sized. While there I had the stone looked at by a GIA certified gemologist. He said the color, clarity, and grading that they (Marc Samules) said it was, was WAY OFF. Then he asked me what I paid and told me I was cheated!! I took the diamond to three other jewelers and they said the same thing!! So I called Jay back at the Grapevine Mills Mall location where I bought it within 20 hours of buying it and he said all the other jewelers were lying just so they could sell me a diamond. When I told him I was going to have it GIA graded, Jay himself said ""don't waste your money!"" So I told him I wanted a refund and he said they don't do refunds, only exchanges, and ONLY if I spent MORE money! So I went back to the store to see Jay, wasted 40 miles of gas, just so he could say to me, my advice to you is to keep this diamond. I told him I wanted to see what else he had. He offered me a 1/2 carat oval and a .70 round. I told him no on both. He said that was ALL he had and I might as well keep my diamond. He had a box of loose diamonds and 5 or more showcases with rings in them and for the price I paid for a 1 carat that was my ONLY choices???? So I left the store with the diamond and filed a complaint with the BBB. While investigating Marc Samuels has 7 total closed cases and now my 1 open (total of 8) complaints in the last 36 months. That speaks for itself. I was completely ripped off and even when I went back, Jay said the diamond he sold me was a lessor grade and quality than what he wrote on his bogus appraisial!! So Marc Samuels states they have a 7 day return policy for exchange only, yet they did NOTHING for me 20 hours after buying the stoe they cheated me on!
