Review content:
My problem was a slow leak where my house roof meets my sunroom. I emailed Gerry Ray to come out and give me a quote. He said that he went on Google earth and that it would be $395.00 including tax. I asked him if it would fix the leak (all via email) and he said that his work is guaranteed for a year.
His guy came out and worked on the roof. When it rained the next time it was at least 10 times worse if not more. I emailed him and told him that he needed to come out himself to fix the problem. He did and after he 'fixed' it he called me (not in writing even though everything up till then was in writing) and said that he thought that he fixed it. Within a few days it rained again and the leak was still worse than before they came out the first time to fix it. It now was doing a lot of damage to the drywall in my house. I emailed him that it was still leaking and he never responded. I then had my attorney send him a letter that he needs to reimburse me only for the $395.00 and not for the extra damage that he caused. No response from him.
When I wanted work done he emailed me quickly and even after the first 'fix' he responded via email quickly. Once the problem became worse he flat lined on me.
I will never use him again. I wondered why he's not listed on Angie's list and now I know why. He sends out this referral link that makes me wonder if it's really an accurate representation of his work.
Buyer Beware!
RESPONSE FROM AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing:
Greg, I received an email from you. 3 weeks ago saying that the leak at gotten worse. We responded right away and came out that very day and took everything apart and I figured out the issue. You asked me to go in and look at the sheetrock. When I did I saw that there was only original damage from the original leak. You acted like you wanted me to fix something that wasn't my fault.
Since our second trip to your house we have not heard a word from you. We have not received any mail we have not received a phone call and we have not received a letter from your attorney.
I don't understand why you would be making false accusations but we will be more than happy to help you out in any way we can.
Gerry
