Walk in to this butcher shop in the Rockridge Market hall, and you my see a pig head staring back at you. That's how fresh the meat is! Before becoming butchers at Marin Sun Farms Butcher shop (making things by hand like lamb/mint crepeniettes and pork/pine nut sausage), employees get a tour of the farm where their animals come from. They'll be happy to show you photos, and tell you stories - if you ask them. This butcher shop is not certified humane, but do clearly care for their animals. It's a little pricey ($18 got me about a pound and a half of sausage), but the products are DELICIOUS and FRESH. Pros: Humane Meats Cons: Pricey
