Review content:
My five year old son is a very shy child, and is terrified of doctors and dentists. We took him to our local dentist several times, but Baylee was too nervous and tense for them to do any work. He had a cavity that needed to be filled, but he would not open his mouth for the dentist. They referred us to Little Smiles, where they offer pediatric dentistry. Dr. Paula VanBuskirk is the dentist at Little Smiles. She is a mother herself, and is wonderful with children! Their entire office is set up to help children to feel more comfortable. Their waiting area has kids books and toys. The coolest part is when they take the kids back to the exam room. They have an extensive collection of childrens dvds that they let the child choose from. In each of the rooms, there is a flat screen television mounted on the ceiling, so that when the child lies back, he can watch the movie, which distracts him from what the dentist is doing! I just thought that was the most awesome idea! Anyway, my terrified child now enjoys going to the dentist for his check ups! I am very thankful for Little Smiles and Dr. VanBuskirk!
