as a high school bowler, i could appreciate Franklin a lot, especially compared to some alleys in Nashville. sometimes the pins just won't fall (i've bowled whole games where i hit the pocket with little result), but the atmosphere is pretty good. there is automatic scoring, but with a real console at each pair of lanes as opposed to the new movement in scoring machines. it gets smokey in there, especially if you go in the morning or afternoon. probably the best things are the price specials - as low as $.99 a game...if you go at the right time. they have an info hotline you can call (790-BOWL, i think) for daily pricing.
