Sage doesn't seem to be as well-known as the big chains near it around Northpoint Mall, which is a shame - it's better! Sophisticated ambiance is that of a typical Buckhead/Midtown restaurant, with dark woods, cobalt blue pendant lights, and an indoor fountain in the bar. Great for stopping by for wine and appetizers, especially when all wines are available in $2 taster glasses. Food has a mediterranean emphasis, with a nice mix of salads, sandwiches, and more substantial steak and seafood entrees. Most menu items are excellent - well-prepared, elegantly plated and an amazing value for the price - but I have had a few that were less than successful. Servers are efficient and personable, and seem genuinely happy to see you - don't be suprised if they learn your name after a couple of visits. Definitely a grown-up place, and great for a date.
