Review content:
The wait staff service was atrocious. The girl acted as if she didn't have a clue what she was doing, The food was lukewarm to cold. At one point, a plate of chicken fried chicken was served to one of our party who ordered chicken fried steak, and when this was mentioned to the wait staff, her reply was, "It's the same thing." Uh, no. Chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak are not the same thing. The topper was when some random young man came to our table, interrupted our conversation, and gave us a spiel about needing donations for a trip he (and his group) wanted to take for some sort of retreat. At first I thought he was one of the waiters. I asked him if he was an employee. He said no. I asked him if the restaurant management had given him permission to approach customers' tables to troll for donations. He said they had given permission for this. That was when I decided that there would be a zero-sum tip for Applebees, and informed the troll that his interruption of a private conversation to ask for donations was rude and asked him to leave our table. I will never return to that restaurant. "Customer Service" is glaringly absent at that establishment. Pros: None Cons: Everything
