Review content:
We happened to be dining in Pangea this weekend and I have to say the food was amazingly flawless. The appetizers - crispy crunchy-sweet onion pakoras and the gently-spiced fresh samosas were so tasty that I could have made a meal out of them alone! I am a vegetarian, so the menu was abundant with choices (not a usual occurrence in most eating places!). After a lot of thought, I ordered a spring dosa and my companions ordered the paneer-stuffed dosa, and the chole puri, all promising to share so that everyone could have a taste. Our dishes arrived piping hot and savory and we began eating. I enjoyed the generous filling of potato, cabbage, cauliflowers, each mouthful full of the taste of fresh vegetables mingled with spices and before I knew it there was nothing left on my plate! Needless to say, the others had polished off theirs too. Admittedly, we were all ravenous but there was no doubt that when delicious food appears before one it can vanish before you say abracadabra. I skipped the dessert (too full) but had a couple of forkfuls of the raspberry cheesecake from the plate of one of my companions - it was rich, dense with flavor but not overpoweringly sweet (one of my pet peeves about cheesecake) and I regretted stuffing on the dosa.\r

The service was very good, friendly and ready to answer all questions, inspite of their obviously busy schedule. I liked the decor too - understated elegance - and the music was clearly popular, judging by the amount of people on the dance floor. All in all, a classic meal in a classic setting and singularly different from the usual dining spots in the Poconos which tend to lean heavily towards meat and starch. I left promising myself that I would definitely be back.
Pros: Plenty of parking. Just off Route 611, easy to find.
Cons: The lights could have been brighter.
