I had heard a lot of good things about Gilbert's but was thoroughly disappointed when I was finally able to visit. Everything on the menu was overpriced. The food to cost ratio was way off base. I had the hot corned beef sandwich on rye. The bread was terrible. It tasted like white bread with rye seeds. Very bad. The filling however was good. My partner had one of the omlets. Again, a bit dissapointing, fairly bland. The bagel that came with his meal was good everything else needed improvement. The Bellevue crowd can afford these prices, but they should demand better quality and service for what they get. The meals cost on average $13+ for deli sandwiches and breakfast. Softdrinks were also overpriced at $2.50 for a can.
