Review content:
Me and my wife were in the Hamptons for the weekend and went to Almond on the advise of friends. It was 4th of July weekend so the place was jammed. We had to wait for our table for about fifteen minutes but everyone was extremely apologetic and they sent us a beautiful little softshell crab appetizer when we sat down. The meal just kept getting better from there. We shared a sweetbread and rabbit terrine that was both interesting and homey. We also has had a house cured salmon appetizer that was delicious. For entrees we had a striped bass and a lamb that were terrific. At some point we got to talking to the server, and she relayed to us the chef's commitment to local and seasonal produce--it really came thru in the food. Almond's got a great relaxed, ""lived in"" vibe that you don't get enough of in the Hamptons. We highly reccommend this place
