My email/letter/fax to the manager and owners of The Green Tree - starts like this:
""Dear O'Meara Family/Mr. Curtis:
My name is Kim Laing-Reyes and my family and I (a total of 18 people - including adults and children) made 3:30 p.m. reservations for an early dinner this past Sunday, March 27, 2011.
Unfortunately, our dining experience was very uncomfortable. From the moment that my husband, children and I first arrived at The Green Tree, we were under a microscope by the restaurant's Caucasian staff members and customers alike.
One very burly man at the bar continued to stare at us as we sat in the small waiting area by hostess' station, even doing so much as finding a reason to walk very purposely through the area where we were, almost knocking down our young son who happened to have been standing up and talking to us - and never saying excuse me. We had to quickly pull our son to the side - and this was just the beginning of an evening wrought with suspicion, thanks to your staff (not Latino - so please make a huge note of this).
