Review content:
I just have to let people know to stay away from this Kennel, they are the worst! I brought our adorable Cat into Country Kennels to be boarded for a few days since our pet sitter would be out of town, I have never boarded any animal of mine, and now my cat is dead. I called the kennel the next day after we boarded her and they said she was fine but she didn't like her dry food, so I asked them if they could just give her treats, and they said yes. I called the next day and talked to the owner, Dianne, and she said that my Cat hadn't made a poop but not to worry, and when I asked her about the treats, she coldly said ""we don't give cat treats here but I will give her a Dog biscuit if you want."" I got nervous and my pet sitter had gotten back into town, so I told her to get over to the kennel now. She called me in tears, she said she found my angel Tara face down in baby food, and the baby food was all over her body, no one ever told me from the Kennel that she was on any type of food other than her food, no less that she was almost dead. My pet sitter rushed her to my vet and my vet called and said she was so dehydrated that you could squeeze her skin and it would just stay pinched, and that she had had no water or food for days and needed emergency care. My pet sitter rushed her to emergency and they immediately put her into an oxygen tent and then had to revive her by restarting her heart, and they called and asked me what I wanted to do if it stopped again, and I said just let her go, but she fought through the night, and again, my angel pet sitter rushed her back to our vet since the emergency closes in the morning, and my vet called me and said that if I was to keep her alive one more minute, it would be cruel, she was in pain and her kidneys had shut down from being so dehydrated, and that her heart had stopped, like I knew, and she was in bad shape, so I told my pet sitter to hold her and tell her we loved her and that she was our angel. How can a healthy cat go to a kennel and end up dead, to this day, I can't believe she isn't sitting her next to me, and I have tears in my eyes writing this review, this happened two months ago, but the pain of reliving it was too much to do, but now I am okay to just alert people of this terrible Kennel. I put a dispute on my credit card bill and I get a message from Diana, the owner with the ""Dog Biscuit"", asking why I wasn't happy with my service from them, she is very lucky I have not filed a law suit, but I have notified the Humane Society, and I just can't believe that my little Tara is gone, she was an angel and I can't forgive myself for boarding her, I just can't stop the guilt and thinking about what her last days were like at this cruel place that has the guts to call itself a Kennel, and I hope that this review will at least save one other animal.
