Review content:
Food portions were large, and bread was warm and yummy. The view with the crashing waves was beautiful. Our server was borderline surly but seemed personable enough when he smiled. Lasagna was a little salty but was a large portion served in a bed of meat sauce. My tortellini dish had perfect amount of cream sauce and about 50 (no kidding) tortellinis. The problem? My husband and I went with my 9 year old daughter. We don't drink alcohol and generally don't order drinks (trying to save on the calories) but did order an ice tea tonight (so we're not big spenders, but we don't sit around long either - we were there less than 1 hour). I'm trying to lose weight but wanted a nice meal (yesterday was our wedding anniversary), so we ordered two entrees and shared it with my daughter. Since portions were large, there was no sense in ordering another dish for my daughter, and it keeps from overeating. When we were ready to go, I gave the waiter my Entertainment card. He took it and said there was a $6 fee for sharing! He didn't even split the plate, so it must be for the water to wash the plate! I was so stunned that I said it was okay. When he came back with the bill, I asked if the fee is on the menu, and he said no, but he explained it was the policy of the restaurant and that he couldn't do anything about it; he said for steaks, the fee would have been $10! For what?! I told him that if I knew earlier, I would have ordered a meal for my daughter, and he just said, ""oh."" We always tip on the total before the discount; I'm not sure if he added the fee because of the card. Now I wonder if he also added the 18% tips - we were so mad at that time, we didn't even think to look for it! We put down our cash and quickly left before we continued to seeth. Although the food and view are very nice, I will NOT return. Too bad because there aren't that many nice restaurants near us. Sorry to hear others have encountered bad service too!
Pros: Great food, large menu of pasta and risotto choices
Cons: A large fee for sharing food
