I bought 2 golden retrievers fom Just pets on July 5, 2012. One male and one female golden as a gift for my daughters. For the last 6 months, I have spent a small forturne getting to the bottom of puppy mill breeding. \r

Hannah- Needs double hip replacement and shoulder surger for dysplsia. Estimated cost from a reputable surgeon at VRCC, $3000 for shoulder and $12000 for hips. Expected prognosis is Hannah could expect a low activity life, however more problems could surface as she ages. \r

Harley-Needs shoulder and hip surgury for dysplasia. While not as severe, estimate cost from a reputable surgeon at VRCC $5000. Expected prognosis is Harely could expect a low activity life with premature arthritis. Stephanie has been very glad to point me to the contract, my money back or a new dog. Well, I have spent more on xrays and diagnosis than I paid for the dogs which she acquired from a puppy mill. \r

Do you research, I didn't and got caught up in the moment with a retail store which bought dogs from a broker which bought dogs from a puppy mill. \r

I am now faced with some very dishartening discisions with my daughter which is more painful than any amount of money I paid for these two darlings. Not exactly what I signed up for and getting my money back wont stop the tears in my daughters eyes.
