My wife and I were in the SW metro, and opted to eat dinner someplace new. We opted for this establishment. It resides in the former building where Sherlock's Home used to be (which was AWESOME) My first impression when I walked in was the wine. I saw bottles of Silver Oak, Cakebread, Tomassi Amarone...wines I really like and thought we stumbled upon a promising establishment. The decor was OK, but nothing to write home about. We ordered a couple cocktails and they were spot on delicious. The only issue was that the server as it ended up stopped at our table infrequently which, irked me some (actually alot). I should state we ambled in around 9:00 PM and in the section where we were seated there were only four dinner parties including ourselves, the other side was about as sparse. My wife and I order our food. My wife orders a steak salad, and I order the bone in rib eye, and wait for its arrival. I always order my steaks rare. After quite a while, our food comes and alas my steak is cooked medium....how hard is it to sear a piece of meat on two sides for a minute or two at the most and, throw it on a plate and serve it? Well considering the price that I am paying for this meat, I want it done the way I expect. So I wait, and I wait while my wife enjoys her salad. My wife is about half way through her dinner when our server shows up and asks ""how is everything""? I said my steak is overcooked. So she sends it back to cook another one, and she come back with some sort of Burgoo for me to eat while my steak is being redone. Not impressed it was like they took a couple cans of Campbell's Chunky soup and doctored it up. So by the time my meat arrives, my starch is cold as is the vegetable. Not much of an apology was offered, and I really didn't enjoy the dinner at all. If it was not for the decent wine, and their ability to make a great cocktail, this place gets only one star. If i am going to spend $170.00 on dinner, I will spend it at Manny's or Pittsburgh Blue. Pros: Good Bartender, Better than average wine list Cons: Service
