Review content:
I had six stone chips in my windshield; five were very small (1/4"" or less) and one was somewhat larger and more ""spider web"" like, about 1/2"" in diameter. At first I inquired about a replacement windshield-- they were the cheapest by about $40. When I took my truck in to have them look at it, I asked if the damage could be repaired and they assured me that all of them could be fixed. However, after repairing my windshield, I could see that the biggest chip wasn't much improved at all and two of the smaller chips had a layer of glass break out and they were glued back in, but not flush with the windshield (I initially thought it was excess epoxy on the outside of the glass).\r The next day I returned to Flock's and asked them to have a look at these issues. I was told that they ""should have said we can't get it all, but your windshield won't shatter;"" but shattering wasn't really the concern, visibility was. When I pointed out that the big chip I was talking about didn't seem to be filled in completely, I was cut off and told, ""No, it's fixed,"" without examining the chip. ""But you can see here that..."" ""No, we fixed it."" When I asked about the other chip that had now popped out I was told that this happened when the chip was being drilled out and that it was as good as it would be. \r At this point, I said that had I known the repairs would be like this, I would've had them order a replacement windshield to start with and asked if there could be some price adjustment if I did order a replacement windshield from them. I was told that there was nothing that could be done since ""we provided the service and it's fixed.""\r So I paid $94 to have 6 stone chips fixed: 1 was somewhat better, 2 were worse than before, 1 didn't appear to be touched at all and 2 were fixed. I know that a windshield repair will not be perfect, but the the worst one is right in my line of sight and it's only marginally better. If they could not be fixed, Flock's should have said so in the first place, or at least warned me that the end result may not have been much better than it was before the repair. \r On the plus side, the staff at Flock's is friendly and very responsive to phone calls and gets back to customers quickly with estimates. But overall, I'd have to say I'm very disappointed; Flock's came highly recommended by my local insurance office and I expected better from them-- certainly not making the windshield worse and when offered the chance to make it right, being essentially told to go away. Because of that, I cannot honestly recommend Flock's Glass.
