I was actually quite nervous when initially visiting Dr. Michalska. I had researched her on the web for quite some time as I was looking for a physician that was familiar with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Upon actually meeting Dr. Michalska, I found her to be an extremely genuine person. Yes, she is upfront with facts and tells it like-it-is, but that is something I fully respect. I hardly want to be coddled - I want to be given an honest answer with following details and recommendations...she gave me everything I wanted and explained various aspects of Ehlers-Danlos of which I was never aware. She is quite forethright and I can see how some people may find this detracting; I, on the other hand, seek it out because, to me, it lets me know that someone is a human being with morals, standards and a backbone.\r

Dr. Michalska deals with a roster of several hundred, regular patients and her time is hardly her own. Her follow-up to my appointment was a little lacking and I can understand the reasons behind. A simple telephone call resolved everything.
