Review content:
In late January of 2010, I walked in and purchased a pair of Vibram Fivefingers - however, I was given an women's 41, rather than a men's. This was an accident on the part of the sales clerk, I'm sure. But as a result, my shoes rapidly deteriorated at the seams (I have wide feet) and I had to return the shoes. I was issued a store credit and put on a waitlist for another pair because these things were and are damn popular. I specifically requested a men's pair of 41s when I was put on the waitlist.
I didn't hear back from Benchmark until April.
Now, the wait can easily be attributed to Vibram - the FiveFingers are extremely popular and hard to keep in stock anywhere - but when I returned for my shoes, I was sold ANOTHER pair of women's 41s. This was after a very specific request for a men's pair and a thorough explanation.
When I called, I was repeatedly put on hold and after explaining myself, all they offered was a (grudging) refund. The staff was inattentive and more or less indifferent to their customers' needs every time I visited the store. I will not be shopping with Benchmark again.
Pros: Excellent inventory
Cons: Poor customer service, overpriced
