My fiance and I looked at a number of places around the city for an engagement ring. I was really set on finding an antique piece, for aesthetic, ethical and environmental reasons. Of the places we went, Dianne's was the best. Natalia who helped us had a good intuitive understanding of what would appeal to us. I'm a rather petite person, and her choices were very fitting to my size and proportions. The very first ring she showed to us ended up being the one we purchased, which is simply amazing. I gravitated to it right away, but we still had lots of fun trying on different rings, and Natalia was enthusiastic and helpful in showing us their selection. I really can't say enough about the kindness and professional demeanor of their customer service. It is really as good as it gets. They have a good variety of selections available for whatever your budget. When we came to pick up the ring after it was sized, they gave us a free bottle of champagne and said I could stop by anytime to have the ring cleaned. They really cultivate relationships here, and offer beautiful pieces of jewelry. We will definitely continue to go there for special jewelry in the future.
As for the person who complained about their diamonds, it seems that he was looking for a modern piece that was GIA certified. Old diamonds are almost never GIA certified, because the diamond has to be loose to be evaluated, and they usually come already set in an old setting and it doesn't make sense to take the diamond out of the piece.
