My boyfriend and I called to make a reservation for 2 at the Charthouse thinking that we were going to have a relaxing dinner overlooking the ocean and watching the sun set. Much to my chagrin it was the exact opposite!! We arrive on time and are told that our table is being set up. Twenty minutes later they tell us that they are waiting for people to leave to give us our table. We ended up waiting as much as the people who didn't have a reservation. There were 3 young female hostesses who couldn't get their act together. How many people do you need to do an incompetent job? We didn't get table by the window that we had requested and didn't get to watch the sun set, because they had us wait for over half an hour for our table having made reservations. We get seated under a vent that is shooting out cold a/c. I tell them 3 times to please turn it down and they blew us off all 3 times (I told the hostess, the waitress and the busboy). When we asked to move to a table that didn't have vents over it, we were told that those tables were being saved for someone else. There were so many empty tables that we could've been moved to, but no one gave us the time of day (which is odd because we waited half an hour for no reason.... there were many empty tables). We realized that we were not going to spend over 100 dollars on a dinner that was going to be torturous and miserably cold. So we walked out and no one even noticed. Very,very sad.
