Review content:
When I was a kid I used to walk down to a local Dunkin Donuts or a Winchells. Where else you could buy near heaven for under a buck?
Nowadays it's really hard to find donut stores. Bagel and coffee shops have pretty much become the norm.
Enter Donut Day. This place is tucked away in a sleepy little min-mall in Beaverton, off of TV Highway. Most every time I have gone there I have had to park in the alley behind the store to even get in.
But boy is it worth it. The donuts are made fresh daily and the coffee is to die for. There are so many varieties I have a very hard time choosing.
These aren't the types of donuts you find at Krispy Kreme...but aren't there enough of them. These donuts are made with loving care, not mass produced. If you have a hard time with decisions, like I do, you can even buy a bag of old fashioned donut holes in a variety so that you can sample each one.
The place isn't huge on atmosphere, but who needs it when the donuts taste like this.
I love this place. If it wasn't on my way to the gym, I'd probably eat there much more often.
