I brought my five cats to Squaw Peak Animal Hospital two weeks ago for the first time on two separate visits. Dr. Ferrera gave them extra special care during their exams. He suggested only services necessary for them. Based on Dr. Ferrera's recommendation, only my second to the youngest cat needed her teeth cleaned. I found the cost for their services to be the most competitive from other established veterinary hospitals. With that being said, excellence in quality and care were my main priorities in seeking a veterinarian. I was very impressed with the ease of our visits. This is the only time I have ever seen my cats be so relaxed and happy after a vet visit. My cat's dental cleaning was the best of all of the cats that I have ever owned. Usually, they need at least a day to recover from a dental cleaning, however, this cat was doing her running leaps the next morning because she felt good. They also assisted me on how to update contact information for my each of my cats' microchips. A few days later, one of my cats ran outside without my noticing (he was found in the yard), just knowing that his microchip information was current reminded me of just how valuable microchips were. Also, as another convenience offered, they carry the top names in prescription food and special ordered my cats' Royal Canin prescription food for me that I used to drive a great distance to pick up. Two nights ago, I discovered blood near my cats' litter box. I called them the following morning (Dr. Ferrera was not in) and Belinda, a staff member, suggested for me to bring in a sample right away, which I did. They were very efficient, accurate as well as compassionate towards me. So, while waiting for the test results, I had peace of mind. The next morning (under 24 hours), Dr. Ferrera called to inform me that the test result was negative. Through the direction of Dr. Ferrera, his hospital exudes an ethic of personal service which sets them apart and, in my opinion, makes them quite unique as a veterinary hospital. My cats are very happy with Dr. Ferrera as their newly found veterinarian.
