If I could give less than one star I would. I live very close to Columbia (20 minutes by car), but unfortunately since I cannot be approved for my license due to my epilepsy I must take the bus here and due to its emptiness and the typical fare of people that hang out there I am afraid to take the bus up there and wait for the one up to Columbia, but there are "rare" instances that I need to, like for instance when I need to go to the specialty shoe stores in Columbia, one of my doctors, etc. and in my opinion as I have watched its decline have seen it mainly become a hub for those who need the connector buses and from what I have seen those that need the connector buses tend to time it to get there right as the next one comes so they do not have to wait into the shady area it has now become, no matter how used to it they are (what I mean by that is if they live in it), so they do not have to fall prey to the crime it has fallen to now after it was once nice so long ago and personal I do not blame local and non-local a like for doing so and also agree with the poster about her car, that while I think it is nice that there is a closer Hect's there due to how it's changed, I as a person traveling the farther distance through the mall with bags of "goodies" than to just a "close" car and across the street to the bus lot, would not trust walking through the mall that long of a distance because of the vulnerability issues and would prefer to go to the one in Columbia too even though it's farther away.
