Home Safety Research should be ashamed!!! I am a 14 yr vet of home security sales and installations. Recently, they slammed one of customers under contract. They target senior citizens with mailers about receiving a free carbon monoxide sensor (as required by law). Upon arrival they sold them $4000 of equipment (not including monthly service) which included 6 new smokes, a new panel and 1 carbon monoxide sensor. The cost of this equipment is roughly $500. On top of scamming this family out of $4000, they had them pay-off 2 years of monitoring for over $800. If you have been scammed by this company, please report it to the Attorney Generals office. Practices like this are not tolerable!!!
