Review content:
Recently my aunt passed away and as her executor one of my duties was to get her coop unit appraised. I am in the technology business and knew little about real estate valuation. I found East Coast Appraisal Service on the internet and gave them a call. I was transferred to one of the owners, Steve Ellsworth. He spent about fifteen minutes explaining the process to me including the difference between a coop and a condo. We made the appointment for the inspection two days later. My aunt had been in a nursing home for some time and even before that did little in the way of modernization. I was told that the condition of the unit would definitely be considered in the value. About four days later our attorney and I received an easy to read professional report. I was in the attorney’s office the other day and he mentioned to me that he had used East Coast for two other valuation matters and was very pleased with both the quality and their service.
