Review content:
Ever since reading Lorraine Masseys book ""Curly Girl The Handbook"" I have taken a whole new approach on how to care for my curls. I began to understand why my haircuts from every salon I ever have been to turned out so bad for my curls (I would always end up straightening my hair until my hair grew out to wear it curly again). When me and my girlfriends from Alaska started planning a trip to Los Angeles, California, I began to wonder if any of Lorraine Massey's deva cut special salons were in the area. So I googled it, and lo and behold Capella Salon popped up with plenty of amazing reviews. I knew this was going to be a one time cut for me (Alaska's not exactly close), so I wanted the best stylist I could get to cut my hair. After a little research I found that Shai Amiel, the owner of Capella Salon, was the most qualified and had the best reviews to cut the curls! Me and my girlfriends were sooo blown away by the customer service provided by Shai and his personal assistant Annie. They went way above and beyond! We all work in Alaska as full time volunteers that go in to the Native villages and do camps and conferences and speak all over Alaska (www.tgmalaska), and Shai was very supportive and charitable to our cause! Plus! I am learning Hebrew, and he is Jewish and we were able to speak back and forth to each other! Double bonus for me! My curls felt soooo soft and voluminous! Healthier than ever before! They deep conditioned my hair, and took the time to tell me what they were using in my hair, and how I could recreate the look easily. If I lived closer, Capella Salon and Shai Amiel would definitely be seeing this curly girl again!
