Review content:
We have gone to Nokomis one time and do not plan to go back. We had heard great things about this resturant from our travel magazine and had to try. Going in we knew that it was a ""high end cuisine"" and the prices were a bit higher. \r
\r
The meal total for two people was $100 and we left hungry. The portions were miniscule. My husband had the filet (or like) and said it was one of the better filets he has had, but you could pretty much eat it in three bites. The ""meals"" were not served with a salad, soup, vegetable ect. Those could be purchased at around $6-8 extra each, and the portions again were itty bitty.\r
\r
I had a pasta dish (as there was no seafood offered on the menu, which I might add was very, very limited). The pasta was good, but it was basically creamette noodles with sauce. Something I could have gotten at the local deli, or for that matter the mall food court. It was about $25.\r
\r
There was local music while we were there... but it was a man signing songs about the north sore and playing his banjo/accordian ect. so loudly you could not hear the person you were dining with. We sat on the opposite side of the resturant from the entertainment.\r
\r
THe resturant had no privacy. Had the entertainment not been so loud you could have heard every word of everyone in the resturants conversations.... you could touch about 6 tables from your seat at any given time and it was almost uncomfortable when the persons around you had to get up.\r
\r
I would not recommend this resturant, I feel there are many other better dining options in Duluth and the shore of Lake Superior.
