I did a lot of research to find the best Dr. in Central Florida, and came to find that Filutowski was (in my opinion) the most respected and successful at Lasik. As to the pricing...it can be a bit more than other places, however Im not interested in taking any chances on my eyes with someone that has less experiance or lesser equipment. You only get one pair of eyes....with Lasik you better not take a short cut! We arent talking about buying a phone, a computer, or even a car which may only be with you a handful of yrs. but you will use your eyes until you die!
In response to the bed side manners, let me just say that Dr. Filutowski was very polite but not very talkative during my procedure...which was fine with me! Id rather have him focusing on my eyes and not on being polite. He took a cool picture with me after surgery and was very nice.
When you go for a consultation you must go to the Metro West Location and ask for Amie Mackel (not sure of the spelling). She was such a wonderful person to deal with and made me feel very comfortable with everything.
I had an amazing experiance at Filutowski Cataract & Lasik Institute. I only have one regret and that is that I didn't do it sooner!
