Review content:
I recently went to H.L. Gross & Bro. to purchase an engagement ring. I had the pleasure of being helped by Bruce Lutwick who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxed; no high pressure sales techniques here. Bruce went over all of the options and made me feel very confident in my selection, he even stayed late to help me. I went with an asscher cut center stone in a beautiful setting by Jeff Cooper Designs. I was extremely pleased when the ring arrived a full two weeks ahead of schedule. When I went to pick up the ring I was confused for a moment regarding the GIA certificate. I expressed my concern and was immediately greeted by Brad Gross Vice President of the company who assured me that if there was a problem he would personally make it right. There was no problem. The ring was perfect and the certificate was correct but Brad still insisted on completing the remainder of my transaction personally. Two days after picking up the ring I took it to a very reputable independent appraiser in the Diamond District of Manhattan. He seemed very impressed with the ring especially after I told him what I paid. He told me he considered the price I paid for the center stone to be 25% below retail. He spoke highly of the quality of the ring and the appraisal came back significantly higher than the insurance appraisal I was given by H.L. Gross. I can not think of enough positive words to express how pleased I was with my experience at H.L. Gross. I know where we will be getting our wedding bands and where I will go for all of my future jewelry purchases. Have no hesitation in going to H.L. Gross or using their website Since1910.com if your experience is anything like mine you will not be disappointed!
