Very luck to have found these guys.
What else can I say? I'm just very fortunate to have had Joe and Tony's Landscaping do work on my house. As a first time homeowner, I simply wanted the best people to do work on my property and within a few short minutes of meeting the owner, Dan, you will feel that assurance. I initially called tthem out to my house to solve my flooded backyard and also some ideas for a patio. I was immediatelly stopped at my front door and was pointed out a more critical problem, my foundation is completely burried in dirt. Window wells, everything. It's something the previous owners did, don't know why. This observation made sense because we were also having an ""over the top"" seepage problem into our basement.
I found that unique, because I don't think many other landscapers would take the time to do that. They would have just thrown up a sketch for a patio, collected the check and called it a day--then years later the house caves in. So, long story short, Dan drew up a sketch that showed digging around the foundation to expose the top few inches, then creating a negative grade that catches into a swale--pitching all rain water away from the house. Project estimated at around 3 thousand---much less than anyother place would do it for. They use some pretty heavy duty tools that gets the job done with less manpower. I gotta be honest, it's not what I had planned on investing my money into this summer, but I'm so happy I did. It really solved a lot of issues with our house. Dan, a landscaping architect, even drew up a sketch for a backyard patio and french drain system (drain tile for lawn) even though he knows we coudln't afford to do that this summer. Those sketches were designed for free. might I add. Most architects charge in the hundreds for designs. Don't let it scare you away when he asks for 50% down of the estimate after that point.
Needless to say, these guys a pro's. You will get the job done the right way and for the right price. I'm happy this work is done and I can't wait to save up for next summers project, which will finally be to install a French drain system and a beautiful unilock brick patio (a specialty of Joe and Tony's). Don't hesitate to use these guys for anything. You won't regret it.
